The METRO is Topeka's only locally owned newspaper. We keep our readers up to date about business and community news in Topeka and Shawnee County on a weekly basis. A minimum of 3200 copies of the FREE METRO are distributed every Friday to the general public at free rack locations throughout the city. It covers local government, business openings and expansions, people on the move, and other news and articles of local consumer interest. We also carry local and national columnists to educate our readers on important activities in the business and financial world.

Ads placed in the FREE METRO are also placed in the Metro News Legal and Business Journal, of which approximately 950 copies are mailed and distributed each week to subscribers and business people in Topeka and Shawnee County. Included in the content are court house filings including new corporations, bankruptcies and city and county legal notices, in addition to business and government news, articles and columnists. Readers are an audience of influential, mid-to-upper income adults who are active in business and community affairs.

Estimated readership for both papers is 10,000+ based on survey responses.
